Join us at 7,700 feet, mid-way up Bald Mountain, for a spectacular and unique dining experience. With unrivalled views of the Pioneer and Boulder Mountains and accessible only by gondola, the Roundhouse Restaurant has been serving up memorable meals, soul-warming drinks, and stunning views since 1939. Whether you are joining us for a relaxing lunch by the fire or our signature 4-course prix fixe dinner, Roundhouse offers the authentic charm of historic Sun Valley with a spectacular on-mountain dining experience. Reservations are recommended for lunch and required for dinner. Dinner is a 4-course prix fixe menu for $125 per person. Dinner reservations include gondola access, while lunch reservations require the purchase of a lift ticket or foot traffic pass. Sun Valley’s original restaurant, The Ram has been warming and welcoming diners since 1937. This rustic-yet-elegant dinner house has been recently modernized, while still preserving its historic charm. Pianist Larry Harshbarger brings a classic ambiance to the room with gentle melodies played on our resident baby grand piano. Travel back in time with the nightly “Heritage Menu”—a series of historic dishes such as pork tenderloin schnitzel, Hungarian goulash, and the famous Ram fondue—resurrected from the restaurant’s long and storied culinary tradition. A credit card is required to hold your reservation. Should your plans change, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Last minute cancellations and no shows may be charged $25 per person.Holiday reservations are not available online, but can be made by calling our guest center at 208.622.2800.

Outside, our wraparound terrace features stunning views of Bald Mountain, Dollar Mountain, and the Trail Creek Golf Course, creating a one-of-a-kind al fresco dining experience in the summer. Trail Creek Cabin is Sun Valley’s destination for romantic dining in a rustic, western atmosphere. Originally built in 1937, this mountain-style log cabin-turned-restaurant sits right next to the rambling waters of Trail Creek, with a jaw-dropping view of Bald Mountain in the distance. Trail Creek Cabin is closed for the winter season and will re-open in December of 2024. CK’s our family owned business believes our business should be part of the solution and not part of the problem. We serve globally inspired food with an emphasis on seasonal and local ingredients. We recycle everything we can: metals, glass, paper and cardboard. Our used cooking oil goes to the local science teacher for his bio-fuel car. The vegetable scraps become compost for our garden. 15% of our energy is produced by our rooftop solar panels and solar hot water is on the way soon. Many of us commute to work on foot or by bike. Our food comes from several local farms and ranches and we purify our drinking water. Our goal is fresh healthy food that will feed your body and your soul.

We came on Valentine's Day. Restaurant Seemed short staffed. My food came before my husbands. We did get complimentary chocolate covered strawberries and the wine pours were big, which was nice. We weren't in a hurry but did notice some other customers frustrated with service. We didn't care so much and the food was excellent

Lunch on the mountain is a must. There are choices. My favorite is the Roundhouse. I prefer the bar downstairs. It’s smaller and more cozy. The view through the ice cycles is fabulous. If you don’t ski go anyway, don’t think about the check. It’s expensive to serve food on a mountain. Just enjoy it.

A great spot for lunch in a lodge setting with the mountains in full view. The onion soup was delicious as was the BLT & avocado.
