Helmand Restaurant offers Afghani dishes with a wood-burning oven where the famous flatbread is cooked on one side of the room and an intimate fireplace is on the other side.Helmand Restaurant entrées include tasty choices like qabelee, which is pallow rice baked with chunks of lamb tenderloin, raisins and glazed carrots or mantwo, a homemade pasta shell filled with beef and onions. One of my favorite places for lunch. On the harbor, great clam chowder (even with the little necks in there), service was wonderful.

This was our second visit to Tresca. For the first, we were privileged to sit at Table 77 (this was the jersey number of former Boston Bruin Ray Bourque who is part owner of this establishment), the lone balcony table overlooking Hanover Street. This time, we dined in the main restaurant which was pleasant. We had a pair of gift cards to apply towards dinner. It turns out, the vendor of one of the cards had gone out of business, rendering the card invalid. The manager visited our table to explain and offered to comp the expired card as a courtesy. In return, we gave the entire amount to our waitress Sydney for a job-well-done. The food was excellent and I especially enjoyed Anna Maria's meatball appetizer. Can't wait to return!
