Itihaas restaurant in Birmingham is one stunning eaterie. This beautiful restaurant —the name means ‘history’ -- is the £2 million brainchild of businessman Raj Rana and it’s been raking in awards since it opened its doors. The décor is contemporary meets traditional with two dining rooms honouring colonial and maharaja eras – there are slate finished walls, original paintings, carved stone elephants, Jali marble window frames like those found in Mogul palaces and elegant black sari-clad hostesses.     In this "generation" it's hard to find great service & friendly, polite staff - even on an extremely busy night, this place was perfect! It's obvious why everyone loves their wings! And it's Dog Friendly which is an added bonus!

    First time as a family we have eaten out for Christmas and what a beautiful experience. All the staff were welcoming helpful. The food was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely and added to the experience was the live singing which was also lovely. All diners seemed happy so this added to a beautiful experience. Yes eating out is more expensive but I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be revisiting in the year. Thankyou for making our first Christmas eating out experience so wonderful that we all want to repeat next year.

    This is our third year having Christmas lunch at Orelle. Like every other year, the food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Thank you for yet another perfect Christmas lunch!

    The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were helpful and friendly. Everything was perfect. The only slight downside was the noise from a group in the restaurant with children (quite a few) but it’s Christmas and they were little children so it’s allowed. They were excited and you soon forgot they were even there. In fact they added a bit of festive joy to the atmosphere. Will definitely be back
