The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. We love The Red Pepper. From the moment we enter to the moment we depart we savor the warm ambience, attentive and friendly wait staff, efficient but in no way hurrying service, and superb food. The menu is various and inventive without forgetting traditional favorites, and each recipe is prepared with fresh ingredients. Fish and meat is tender; vegetables are firm but not raw; sauces are perfectly spiced; pasta is al dente; and salads are crisp. This is a neighborhood gem for sure!
