At Killruddery, our Walled Garden + Farm ingredients are the backbone of our menu, which we make available for lunch from 12:00pm Thursday - Sunday, our Seasonal Supper Club and feasts for special private occasions. Head Chef Niall O’Sullivan and his team put the provenance of ingredients, seasonal, local foods and traditional food methods first in all they create. We deliver a meal experience unlike any other, using high quality Thai ingredients (like holy basil and galangal) in dishes that are calorie counted and made to order by trained wok chefs in our kitchen. It’s slow food, done fast. Beautiful coffee, toasties and brunch with an incredible view! There are limited indoor seats available to book but we have blankets available for all our outdoor seating to keep you nice and cosy. For the next few months we will only be taking bookings for our Indoor seats as the weather is a little too unpredictable for the next couple of months. Bright and airy, with a vintage retro style and featuring distressed wooden tables topped in white marble, salvage greenhouse window frames and comfy linen banquettes, Salt continues Avoca’s emphasis on serving delicious, seasonal dishes with largely locally sourced ingredients. Salt's name comes its Salthill locale - which itself was derived from salt works that were once here - plus the nearby sea and, of course, the seasoning. Menus are fresh and interesting (see below), with plenty of appetizing salads and lighter lunch dishes, reasonably priced for the casual mid-week crowd.
