However, having experienced this, because of a gift card from daughter, my opinion has changed. My wife enjoyed her standard tea of cream and jam scone with selection of cakes but I had the savoury option, all my favourite things, sausage roll, pork pie, cheese, scotch egg, haslet with pickle as well as the standard sandwiches. Paul was very warm and welcoming and also very attentive and was very knowledgeable on the menu and the tea to accompany it. Had the 3 course set Sunday lunch menu - this includes a glass of wine, but the staff are happy to substitute this for something else if you don't like wine. Had broccoli soup for starter, pork with trimmings and the passion fruit cheesecake with a side of ice cream, which was delicious.
