Bought as a Christmas present for my wife and I and have to say thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This meant we didn’t have to queue as we’ve seen happen previously. Although the afternoon tea tiers don’t look much, we found it filling so much so we had take away the sweet treats to consume later. Excellent service and there was no sense of eat up and leave. Also enjoyed the piano playing in the background. Highly recomnend a visit.

We were treated to afternoon tea. A gift voucher from our son and new daughter in law. Not that we had paid I thought the price of the afternoon tea for what we got was rather expensive. Not a price I would have paid. The tea was quite nice, my wife had a pot of tea and I ordered coffee. On the menu it stated a pot of coffee. All I got was a cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly, but didn’t come to ask if everything was ok. It was a nice experience but having had afternoon tea in other places it was expensive compared to other venues.

While we were visiting York we wanted to have a meal with a special friend and bring our dogs. What a great choice. A table that was slightly to one side so we weren’t in close proximity to anyone else. Very friendly and accommodating staff and delicious food and wine. Also a very relaxed atmosphere so no pressure to hurry and very reasonably priced. We had a wonderful evening. Infact we liked it so much we went back the next day for lunch!

A really beautiful afternoon tea. Mine was vegan and it was exceptional. The service was perfect - friendly and professional.

Lovely afternoon tea in the Garden Room. The sandwiches were nice and the scones were great, they were warmed and served with jam and clotted cream. We had the festive afternoon tea which meant the cakes were festive themed, I would prefer them be the usual cakes. I wasn’t a fan of the Christmas pudding or mince pie flavour. Overall, it was great. I would go back for regular afternoon tea but not the festive one due to the cakes. Service was amazing
