Deme, short for Demeter, (the Greek Goddess of the Harvest) is a new Eastern Mediterranean and Aegean Sea-inspired poolside eatery at Hotel Figueroa, with nods to the sea-faring communities along the Eastern Mediterranean Coast, Turkey, and Israel, led by Executive Chef Blake Shailes. A.O.C. is a small plates restaurant driven by seasonal ingredients, locally sourced. Our California French cuisine was developed by Chef Suzanne Goin, and also features Mediterranean influences. We have 24 wines by the glass and 150 bottles to choose from, curated by Caroline Styne, all of which are either organic, biodynamic or sustainable. Featuring a full bar with premium spirits and specialty cocktails. AOC is proud to offer both outdoor and indoor dining. Our patios feature shared heaters, however we highly recommend bringing appropriate outerwear for your comfort. Unfortunately, inclement weather may affect our ability to honor your reservation. In the event of rain, we will notify you as soon as possible to communicate any weather related cancellations and to assist you with rescheduling your reservation. Our first time, and what a wonderful experience!! Fabulous ambiance,a great meal of classics, and a very helpful and delightful server. If it weren’t an hour from our house, we’d be here every week. The Tam is a treasure and a great night out.

Nice restaurant, atmosphere and service, but menu was limited. They were also out of the mocktail ingredients to make the drinks that were advertised. The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp. I added the salmon for an extra $12 which was perfectly cooked.
