Went with friends for dinner, service was great and food was amazing!

We loved Oxbow!! The happy hour menu for both snacks and drinks, including 50% off bottles of EXCELLENT wine, is next level. The food on the menu was incredible, and great value! Quality was amazing, and you don't always see that with happy hour selections. We had the beef tartare, the cauliflower and brussel sprout salad, the warm olives and the brie and brioche, and we loved them all. ESPECIALLY the salad - we both said it was one of the best salads we've ever had! The ambience is also exactly what you'd expect in a cozy hotel bar. There's a beautiful fireplace that is a focal point, and they displayed photos on their TV of beaches, which was a nice addition and made us dream of warmer temps! The patio also looks like a good time, when the weather improves a bit more. It faces onto Memorial Drive, so you can see the Calgary skyline and the river (once construction is done - which in Calgary, one never knows!)

Service was excellent. The lamb pastry special, available for a limited time only, was unexpectedly delicious. The salads on the side were fresh and generously portioned. I must mention that the farm eggs were poached just right!

Nice looking place with great ambiance. Accommodating to dietary needs. Food was delicious. Just didn’t find that you got enough cheese to accommodate the amount of side foods you got with your fondue. When you add veggies and protein, you should get more cheese than you would get with just the bread basket. But all around, a yummy meal with great service.
