Seven days a week, our neighborhood bar + grill takes pride in providing lunch and dinner in a relaxed atmosphere with views of Wilmette Golf Club. A True Neighborhood Tavern With its homelike atmosphere, the Valley Lodge is one of the iconic and go-to restaurants on the North Shore. Founded in 1969 by brothers Peter and Taki Adamis, the Glenview location quickly became THE popular dining destination. In 1997, new owners Bill and George Stavrou carried forward the tradition in Glenview, and later in 2014 when they opened its Wilmette location.Our philosophy has always been and is to create a true neighborhood tavern. One where our guests can be comfortable, relax, and take the whole family, friends, business associates, or even the whole team where they can enjoy quality service and exceptional food at a great value.

    From the minute we walked in Evan was amazing!! It was very busy but Evan took great care of the 6 of us got us a superb table and seated very quickly! Evan is the best. Also our waitress Nora was fantastic!! A very great experience all around!

    Wonderful experience! First time at Francesca but we will definitely be back! We started out with the CARPACCIO CON AVOCADO, along with their fresh bread - fantastic! My husband ordered ROLLI ALLA FRANCESCA, which he was very happy with. I ordered AGNOLOTTI QUATTRO FORMAGGI, delicious little pasta pillows with wild mushrooms & brown butter sauce. Well balanced, and delicious! We went for the classic tiramisu, the best I’ve ever had! We also ordered the Sticky Toffee Carrot Cake. My husband orders carrot cake wherever we go & he said this was definitely in his top 3. The coffee was simple, classic and delicious. Along with solid service, the manager came over to introduce himself & check on us. Chefs kiss to this entire dining experience!

    Great spot with above average food. The salads were great, the French onion was very average, the ambience was cool. I would definitely go back but wish they can improve on the soup a bit.

    Very good service, noise level high. Recommend the chicken kabob, but forget the onion soup. Request to sit by the fireplace. Cozy.
