The name “Ichoume” comes from the address of this street. Ichoume is located on ‘1’ Harbour Street, Darling Quarter. That’s why we named the restaurant “Ichoume” (Choume is used for addresses in Japan. It's a way of breaking a municipality into districts. 丁目(Choume) is ‘city district’, so ‘1 choume’(Ichoume) is ‘1st [city] district’).The design concept of the restaurant is a hangout for adults.The menu is supervised by AKIKO ISHIKAWA, who has accumulated her career in many restaurants.     Had a great dinner experience here with Brandon and his team. Brandon and Jacky were very responsive and accommodating in the booking stage, were flexible with changes and even child friendly. On the night, Sofia was very pleasant and attentive, keeping an eye on all 20 of us and making sure everyone’s needs were accommodated. Every dish on the set menu was amazing. After dinner we were moved to the bar area. Bartenders were great and worked fast. Monique was also very friendly and generous and made sure to give us plenty of water throughout the night. Music and DJ created a fun atmosphere as well. Would definitely recommend coming for dinner and drinks.

    We found this place on OpenTable and hadn't heard of it so we weren't sure what to expect, and we absolutely loved it! Wonderful food, and wonderful service. We'll definitely be back.

    The service was absolutely fantastic. Guy was so informative and knowledgeable about the whiskey and finding the right style of whiskey for us. Will definitely visit again when we are back in Sydney

    Seriously good cocktails and an ambience that can’t be found anywhere else. The chocolate old fashioned and espresso martini are unequivocally perfect. Loved it.
