Sungchul Shim, formerly of Per Se and most recently Neta, opens his first solo project Kochi in Hell’s KitchenKOCHI - Korean for ‘skewer’- a tasting menu of skewered dishes as well as menu items inspired by traditional Korean cuisine that’s built around seasonality and balance. We are proud to present this menu as an homage to traditional Korean flavors elevated by the hand of gastronomic technique. Incorporating the freshest local ingredients daily, this is our exquisite interpretation of Korean cuisine.[PLEASE NOTE] We are not able to accommodate vegan, vegetarian with gluten-free and celiac diets as well as any allergies or aversions to allium, sesame (even if sesame oil is consumable), soy, gluten, and alcohol. We are able to accommodate vegetarians, aversions to red meat, shellfish, seafood, dairy, nut, gluten (if soy and soy sauce is consumable) and alcohol (if cooked alcohol is consumable) with at least a day of notice in advance.

The cuisine at Chef Jean-Georges’ abc kitchen reflects a passionate commitment to the freshest organic and local ingredients possible. The restaurant’s changing menu focuses on local, sustainable, seasonal produce that does not use pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, or GMOs. Meat, fish, and dairy are locally sourced where possible, from humanely treated, pasture-fed animals free of antibiotics and hormones. A rooftop garden provides herbs and microgreens.     The food was very good. Delicious PEI Pink moon oysters and other great selections. Hamachi crudo was great and I love the idea of local fresh ingredients. I’m glad we came- the halibut was a little too hard on the outside for me but the inside was nicely cooked. Brussels and potato purée were simply delicious. The brûlée cheesecake and cappuccino to finish helped power the 20 block walk home! It’s up there with the best of the restaurants I’ve been to. Prices were a little high but that’s what you expect in NYC.

    The holiday menu was simply delicious! The service was phenomenal. I appreciated that the chef made changes to the menu to accommodate someone in our party with shellfish allergies.

    It was a wonderful Christmas dinner! Food was excellent and the whole service crew was very friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Jasmine who has been phenomenal! We learned about the Christmas cabin from her the last time we were at the restaurant!

    Our family loves valdari!! It is me and my boyfriends go to date night spot at least once a week. And we bring our entire family for dinner pretty frequently too. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and delicious and the drinks are top notch! The ambiance is classy but laid back and family friendly as well. We are Italian and this is authentic delicious Italian food. We recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone!
