Sungchul Shim, formerly of Per Se and most recently Neta, opens his first solo project Kochi in Hell’s KitchenKOCHI - Korean for ‘skewer’- a tasting menu of skewered dishes as well as menu items inspired by traditional Korean cuisine that’s built around seasonality and balance. We are proud to present this menu as an homage to traditional Korean flavors elevated by the hand of gastronomic technique. We ordered multiple small plates and enjoyed them all. The chicken liver melts in your mouth like butter and the grape jelly is oddly epic. The tuna tartare was fresh and light. Other dishes we enjoyed included the calamari, Brussels, and crab toast). Service and ambience were excellent as well. Can’t wait to return again soon.

Great experience since we never had diner at a Korean restaurant before. And we love asian food so this was a welcome new surprise for us. We recommend this highly is you like to eat something different then Japanese, etc.

Service was incredible and every dish was on point. We couldn’t stop raving about the butternut squash ravioli. Took a gamble on this restaurant for my friend’s birthday and will definitely be coming back.
