First time to go to this restaurant. It was what I was expecting it did let me down food was excellent with the exception of the York shire pudding was small and over cooked but the rest of the meal was delicious.

When it comes to wining and dining, this place is a gem. From the moment you open the door to the minute that you leave it is one of the nicest experiences you’ll ever have. The hospitality, wine, food and ambience here are second to none.

A cool, fancy, little “hole in the wall” restaurant with great ambience, wonderful service, and punchy flavours. The food was great, very creative and very well-seasoned with bold and interesting flavour profiles. We sat at the bar and our server Jess was knowledgeable and friendly, helping us with some suggestions for dishes and attentive to our drinks and each of our “first bites” to ensure we were happy. One of the best carpaccios we have had in the city so far, the linguine is a must, sablefish was cooked perfectly, and the anchovy toast was an umami flavour bomb (don’t be scared of this one- GET IT)! We also tried the croquette, and fennel salad which were both also very punchy and creative. Would highly recommend Darling if you like bold, creative dishes with a contemporary Canadian framework.

The generosity, care, and respect shown in every interaction was truly remarkable.
