Fire led modern European cooking, served in a warm vibrant dining room. Reservations open on the 1st of each month for the following month, for groups up to 6 guests. Bookings for January will open on the 1st of December at 10am. For larger groups please email bookings@theparakeetpub.com. We serve our A la Carte menu Monday to Saturday, and Roasts on Sundays.

Our extensive cellar at Clos Maggiore includes over 2,000 labels and was extended earlier this year to include an additional 400 wines at a low – mid price range. Fergus Henderson’s original home of “Nose to Tail Eating” opened in a former smokehouse around the corner from Smithfield Market in 1994.Celebrating the finest of indigenous British produce and making the most of what is seasonally best whilst applying straight forward cooking techniques, St. John is now celebrated as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World and in 2009 was awarded its first Michelin Star.Nose to tail eating means that, where appropriate, every part of the animal should be put to good use in the kitchen and so along with Roast Beef and Lemon Sole, diners will find Rolled Pig’s Spleen, Kidneys and Ox Heart, Liver and Chitterlings as well as the Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad, something of a ‘signature’ dish.

    We love the Parakeet. It never disappoints. We’ve been a handful of times and have also gone to two quiz nights which were loads of fun. The staff on the floor are incredible and everyone has so much heart and passion for what they do. Overall, I would highly recommend with one caveat. For this particular visit I had some trouble with the very unpleasant woman in charge of group bookings. I reached out months in advance as we were a large party. She was very unresponsive and dismissive so I would recommend for a larger group. Not worth the stress and aggravation.

    Lovely staff but slow. Attribute to holiday period. Had to ask for a couple of items multiple times. Delicious Sunday roasts will def be back!

    Loved the experience but meal was a bit ruined by adding heavily fishy broccoli as a side to a beef cheek dish. We didn’t realise the side came with the fishy topping. :( Thought the portions of main were small for price point. Charming staff and really glad we visited! Thanks!
