We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. Feel the comforting rumble of trains passing overhead conjuring memories of some of our favourite haunts underneath the bridges in NYC - a place where, with the blinds rolled down and away from prying eyes, a decadent lunch can swiftly roll into dinner.

Serving theatrical drinks and cocktails late into the night alongside a delicious menu of Asian-inspired dishes. The vibrant and playful destination entertains, inspires and excites guests from the moment they step inside.Our dress code is smart-casual and quite relaxed. Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

Fergus Henderson’s original home of “Nose to Tail Eating” opened in a former smokehouse around the corner from Smithfield Market in 1994.Celebrating the finest of indigenous British produce and making the most of what is seasonally best whilst applying straight forward cooking techniques, St. John is now celebrated as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World and in 2009 was awarded its first Michelin Star.Nose to tail eating means that, where appropriate, every part of the animal should be put to good use in the kitchen and so along with Roast Beef and Lemon Sole, diners will find Rolled Pig’s Spleen, Kidneys and Ox Heart, Liver and Chitterlings as well as the Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad, something of a ‘signature’ dish.

    Awesome evening. Incredible food including possibly the best steak ever….🤔 I eat steak anywhere and everywhere around the world and i honestly believe this really was best ever. Prime bone in was to die for 👌🏼 Service from Prometheus & Louis was exemplary also. Wonderful experience, see you real soon ❤️

    One of the best meals I’ve ever had which requires a revisit to be able to try other things on the menu. Superb service and loved the ambiance of the place. Best bread pudding dessert!

    Every thing was fab .. although very chaotic checking in we were there at 7.30 prompt but never got seated till 7.45pm .. but at 9pm a lady came over and said we needed to leave as we had used our allocated 1hour 45mins - I kindly told her we were not seated till 7.45 and we would be leaving by 9.30. Our waitress who was well aware of our time frame was very apologetic. Only blip - our waitress was fab and food amazing .. views are stunning

    We visited with our baby to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Our waiter went above and beyond to give us a memorable experience, and was incredibly accommodating to meet all of our needs. His knowledge of the menu, and recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious, service was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble. Service from entry to leaving was wonderful from every member of staff we encountered.
