It’s the type of place you can bring your first date, family or friend to share a special evening. Henry’s End is all about seasonality and sourcing top quality products. We seek superior suppliers such as The Broken Arrow Ranch, Satur Farms, and Hudson Valley Farms, as well as the local farmer’s markets. We have been acknowledged for our food by Zagat (which stated “This is why they built the Brooklyn Bridge”), Gourmet, Bon Appetit, and many others. Our wine program has received the Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence”. The staff has hosted a dinner at the prestigious James Beard House. We have outdoor covered and heated dining and are happy to offer all of our options for take-out.

Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boombox, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Continuing past the pawnshop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier, but only the adventurous will discover all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. We had an incredible dining experience with the service, food and intimate ambiance. Shout out to the manager Mark for his exceptional warmth and hospitality as well as Joe our very knowledgeable server and Zach and Andy our bussers. The whole team work seamlessly to ensure a flawless dining experience. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

A wide variety of tasty small plates and accompanying wines. We especially enjoyed the Fideos, Arroz, and Razor Clams. Both the server and the sommelier were very knowledgeable and steered our table to good choices. The only minor drawback is that the space is tight and the lighting dim - a disservice to seeing the well plated dishes.
