Founded in 2014 in Chicago by cousins Jared Rouben (Brewmaster) and Jeremy Cohn (CEO), Moody Tongue is built on the philosophy of culinary brewing, appealing to those with a discerning palate or, as Rouben describes, a "moody tongue." Utilizing his extensive culinary background and brewing education, Rouben approaches brewing with a chef's mindset. In 2019, the brewery relocated and expanded to launch two dining concepts: (1) a lively, à la carte restaurant, THE BAR, and (2) an elevated, intimate fine dining restaurant, THE DINING ROOM, helmed by Executive Chef James Bingham.     We were surprised to be seated at the counter overlooking the kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The chefs and front-of-house teams are amazing to watch in action. Every dish is so flavorful and creative and you never know what is coming next from your selections. Just note, it can get very loud since orders are being called out in addition to the already energetic restaurant behind you if you're seated in this location. Another great dinner at Girl & the Goat!

    Great menu and super delicious food! Patrick our server was incredibly excellent and made the evening very special. Megan was so friendly and helpful even on a busy night when our friends hit a travel delay. Service and food quality like this make dining there a true pleasure

    My very favorite restaurant in the city! They have consistently high-quality, wonderful dishes and rotate the menu so there’s always something new. They are great to us and our kids with special needs and dietary restrictions and we’re always great when they were babies as well. I’ve been coming for years and always bring out of town guests here. Get the scotch egg, drinks are great, the latest past I got was amazing and if you’re lucky to come for brunch, try the pastries!!! They are out of this world!

    A unique dinning experience. It was our first time and the staff did an excellent job of guiding us to a wonderful experience. We got to enjoy several different types of seafood and tried two different steak types. Everything was prepared well and tasted fantastic. The sommelier was helpful and paired our meal with very nice wine.
