Food and Beverage Magazine 30 under 30 winner, Chef Emilio Montenegro has crafted a menu based on his upbringing in Northern Mexico and his journey in kitchens across the world. Much of our concept is based around the heirloom corn of Mexico. We import four types of corn from a collective of heirloom farms in Mexico in order to provide the best product we can. We process this corn from raw and turn it into masa for dishes all across our menu, like our Sope, Tamal, and of course, Tortillas. There is a saying in Mexico that we live by at Fonda Fora: "Sin maiz no hay pais," meaning without corn, there is no country. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing everything! We celebrated Christmas, 3 Birthdays and an early New Year with our friends (an annual tradition) and we’d been to Teatro’s for this same tradition years ago, we loved it then and we loved it even more this time! We received exceptional service by our waitress she was absolutely amazing! The food was to die for and for a special event such as this, the 6 of us were so happy we picked Teatro’s again! Thank you so much!

Fantastic all around. Love the new space. Gifted bartender. Food was great. Noisy in a good way. Lively, good music. Cozy. I was skeptical when I heard about a move to Marda Loop but it was great!

Wonderful experience this evening! We started with cocktails - all with interesting names and interesting flavours. The newspaper garnish was so fun! We enjoyed the oysters - so fresh and flavourful - and the whipped brie to start. We ordered mussels, lobster risotto, short rib and chicken supreme as our mains. All very different, but delicious! Seasoned and cooked to perfection. We finished with dessert and the bartender indulged me with a blueberry tea. We will be back and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
