The restaurant was founded in 2023 by owner Stella Spanu, a Boulder local. Honoring her Italian heritage and embracing her passion for food and hospitality, Spanu’s philosophy is to have a dining experience that stimulates all senses by incorporating visual art, design, music, premier service, comfortable seating and fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. The space, an Art Deco inspiration, was conceptualized and built by architect Miguel Quismondo.Stella's is showcasing a world-class menu, highlighting traditions from all over Italy, with house-made pastas with imported ingredients directly from Italy, and locally sourced ingredients from Colorado farms. The menu is accompanied by an extensive selection of Italian wines and specialty cocktails.Friday and Saturday, after dinner service, the space will transform into a lounge with a dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound system, while guests are encouraged to enjoy beverages, the dance floor, and a wide variety of music.

Dinner at Black Cat Farmstead is a unique dining experience. Enjoy private garden cabanas with wood stoves, gorgeous views and a 4-Course chef tasting menu (dietary restrictions accommodated) created by James Beard nominated chef Eric Skokan at our historic farmstead. Our 500-acre full-scale diversified organic farm supplies the majority of ingredients for your meal; from vegetables & herbs to the pork & lamb to the grains. We offer 7 intimate private tables per evening. Reservations are required & limited. $145/per person++Reservations are released weekly on Mondays for the following 3 weeks. We are generally open Wednesdays - Sundays. We do allow pre-booking for parties of 6+. Email us at farmdinners@blackcatboulder.com for booking private events, pre-booking, & general assistance. Join us for an under the stars experience in our exclusive, heated rooftop Alpenglobes for a unique & intimate dining experience. Enjoy date night, a family dinner or a business outing. Our globes can host up to 6 guests. There are no pre-set menus & guests will be able to order from our a la carte menu options. Globes will be reserved up to 15 minutes past your reservation time, after which the reservation will be released & charged the cancellation fee.     The experience at the Black Cat Farm is one like no other. The service is fantastic, the views and ambiance are unmatched. The food is delicious, fresh as can be, and plentiful. This truly is something special- and the family and team that runs it are special. The passion for food and agriculture is evident- and the time was taken by the owner/ chef to share and explain this magical place. It is a pricey evening, for sure, but if you are looking for a once in a lifetime- completely unique dining experience, it will not disappoint.

    From the welcome by the valet to the moment we left, the evening was very special. The food is absolutely delicious and the presentation is exquisite. Everyone w/o works there makes sure you are well taken care of. Highly recommend The Flagstaff House.

    Very enjoyable dinner — we will be back! Limited, but fine wine selection and the food was delicious. Loved the short ribs and my husband enjoyed his pasta.

    The Alpenglobe experience was top notch, highly recommend! It was my husband’s birthday dinner and they treated us very well. Food was amazing, service and ambiance were incredible.
