Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. Our menus change with the season, farm availability, & on chefs whim. Join us for our nose to tail tasting menu nightly if you appreciate whole animal usage. Our wine program is aimed toward biodynamic natural small production wines. If you'd like to have pre or post dinner cocktails, our awesome neighbors include the tigress bar & drink.well.Please note that we have a 15 minute grace period on reservation arrival times. Should you find yourself running late, please give us a call or the table may be released to a waiting guest. Christmas dinner was a delicious, lovely experience. The Halibut ceviche was a light and fresh start. We chose the Duck and Braised Wagyu for our mains and both were so good! This restaurant is a wonderful place for amazing food, tasty drinks and exceptional service.

Every dish and every cocktail was outstanding. Flavor explosions with every bite, well balanced and unique cocktails. Gabby and Rudy took great care of us, George is a true hospitalitarian, and everyone who came to our table was so knowledgeable about the item they were serving. Great restaurant, great staff. Completely understandable why they earned a Michelin star. Run, don’t walk, to your reservation now!

From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. The hostess warmly welcomed us, and our server set the tone with impeccable service. The attention to detail was unmatched… Every staff member even signed a birthday card, a gesture that felt incredibly thoughtful. The ambiance is something you truly need to experience for yourself absolutely amazing. And the food? Simply unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back soon!
