Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boombox, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Continuing past the pawnshop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier, but only the adventurous will discover all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. Amazing food and great service. One of the best spots in NY for a special dinner. Lower level is definitely busier and more energetic. Prices are off the charts, but food is always spot on.

Perfect kind of fine dining experience - upscale, not uptight, incredible food, and really impeccable service. It is going to be hard to eat anywhere else for the next several months. We went to celebrate a birthday and engagement anniversary, and they made it very special and very aware that they knew and cared about it !
