Rein Osteria is an award-winning steak and seafood house with a classic American menu to suit all tastes. The locale is modeled after the great grills of New York and The Hamptons offering beautiful views of the Marjorie Reservoir, vaulted ceilings, and a rustic natural elegance. Our philosophy is simple. We wanted to create a place where our guests and co-workers are happy to be. Our food is procured locally as much as possible, and our culinary mantra is to buy good products and treat them with respect. This mantra is also reflected in our service model. We aren’t a stuffy “fine dining” restaurant, and we want all our guests to feel comfortable and spoiled when dining with us.

A touch of class has been added to Danbury's restaurant scene with the opening, of this intimate restaurant specializing in northern Italian cuisine. Step inside and you'll immediately see the welcoming touches of owner-executive chef Johnney Mersieni. And he will probably be the person to greet you as you enter the dining room. The Arch is a elegant yet casual upscale restaurant. Everything about the atmosphere is meant to relax guests and make them feel at home. The Arch does this through the jazz that is played softly in the background, as well as the warm table lamps that illuminate each table. The seats closest to the windows overlook The Arch's garden, where the kitchen staff hand picks the herbs needed for various dishes. This is an ideal place for a romantic evening out with someone special.The menu at The Arch is entirely a la carte. There is primarily classic French dishes on the menu, with a few new American classics added in as well. Popular items include the Herb Cured Gravlax, Baked Escargot with herb garlic butter, Honey Roasted Duckling, and Daube of Beef Bourguignonne.

    Go for the cacio et pepe pasta, prepared table side. Our group of 3 had pasta entrees after Caesar salad and tuna tartare. The carbonara was more pancetta than Rome's; get extra garlic for the linguini vongole. Stay for the zabaglione ---who else makes it. It's made tableside and just boozy enough. Nice and efficient staff; cozy and festive ambiance.

    We love Cafe on the Green for gatherings with friends and families when we're in town (as we moved away from the area.) Owner Tracey Kydes goes out of his way to make everything right. His staff is hard working and friendly. Great food, food coupled with attentive service from the staff. Excellent team work from the front of the house back to the kitchen. Solid value prop and the dining room is spacious enough to enjoy conversation without it getting too loud. We visited on New Years Day 2025...very pleasant experience (as usual!)

    Overall a great experience on Christmas Eve. The food was delicious, servers were attentive and the decor for the holidays was lovely. Prices were a little steep for drinks, but I'd definitely go back.
