When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. The American Steakhouse offers an expansive 1,800 square foot subterranean courtyard allowing patrons to dine al fresco and enjoy a New Orleans-inspired exterior space. This cool oasis is complete with a 20 foot, 5-tiered granite water wall, multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit, and black granite bar. Dakota's below-ground patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. Totally excellent experience, service very good staff friendly and food very good. Ordered ribeye no bone cut like butter and wife had Philly M also cut like butter. Truffle fries and sprouts all very good. Enjoyable

My family was able to book a last minute reservation at Swank on the weekend, nonetheless. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile and promptly seated. The restaurant was able to accommodate my 3 year old son with a booster seat. The chef made some items for my son, who is a very picky eater. The food was amazing. My wife and I had the spinach dip, and the Italian egg rolls. The egg rolls were savory and quite delicious (10/10). For the main entree we had the lasagna and the lamb chops which were both very flavorful. The lasagna had a nice twist to it with the added pesto which was served in a small cast iron skillet. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection and served on a bed of mashed potatoes. I also had a cocktail - old fashioned with woodford reserve. Very tasty. All in all, our experience was great. We’ll definitely be coming back! Thank you for making this family of three feel welcome from start to finish.
