Varanese settled in Louisville because of its successful independent dining scene, and he believes that the people of Louisville will appreciate fresh ingredients, prepared with a creative flair and a culturally diverse menu. The service was over the top! We had the barrel cut filet cooked medium rare with the bourbon peppercorn sauce with a lobster tail add on and it was the best steak I’ve ever had. We also had the lobster Mac & Cheese which was over the top! We finished off the meal with the bread pudding and it was the best EVER! Totally recommend Repeal if you’re in Louisville.

Our waitress was attentive. She did a good job! The food was fantastic. They serve cornbread before the meal and it was like having dessert. They serve it warm with butter. I had the shrimp and halibut cheeks with polenta. Michael had the steak with crab. His meal came with a macaroni cake which was delicious. Michael’s steak was cooked perfectly and my meal was wonderful. Reasonable priced for an upscale restaurant! After our dinner we sat at the bar and had an after dinner drink!

The lasagna was very good and huge portions! My date had the filet which was outstanding at mid rare. Service was way above board. My date spilled her drink and they had it taken care of immediately with a replacement to go. Ambiance is upscale and pleasant. Highly recommended!!!
