The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. To the right is a cosy eating area with wheelback chairs-- ideal for a banquette with friends around a few long tables.

Water Lane is a restaurant based within a working market garden in the High Weald of Kent. Guided by the seasons, our menu reflects its sense of place in the English countryside where we grow our own vegetables and use local suppliers. Just loved it. We booked it for after seeing a film at the Kino. We had the little table in front of the window. Jazz playing softly in the background and a very pleasant waitress. Food was great. Ordered more like a tapas style meal. Delicious. Very affordable too. Thanks The Union. Just finished off our date night perfectly.

Fabulous champagne bar with lovely low light atmosphere, wonderful live music from Jennifer Maslin and we shared a wonderful cheeseboard! Cocktails were really lovely and great win selection and of course fabulous champagne! Our host for the evening was Simon. He was attentive and very personable and made us laugh and I will definitely be going back………

I came with 8 members of my family, including my 2 year old grandson, for a pre-Christmas meal and was so impressed by the attention of the team ensuring little one was happy which made a good time for all of us. The food was excellent in a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!
