Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe. We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that! Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation. We believe wine is better with food & food is better with wine. A perfect pairing is an experience everyone should enjoy..often. Our unique approach to food and wine means we are "wine first". We first curate the wine list which includes 65+ wines by the glass and then design a food menu that specifically complements the wine. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Julian Silvera who spent his early culinary career in restaurants in his native NYC. He then took his talents to Florida's Knife and Spoon, where he helped garner a coveted Michelin star. Chef Julian is passionate about sourcing hyperlocal ingredients & has a strong focus on sustainability. We love the Wine Cellar! Service is always fabulous, cocktails on point and dinner was divine. I had the scared ahi. Hubby had chicken marsala, friend had the special stuffed pork hop and her hubby had a filet. Everyone was happy and full.

Love the appetizers here! Sooooo delicious! Makes a great light, yet delicious meal. Crab croquettes are so rich and super tasty. Also loved the empanadas and gambas ajillo. Presentation is always quite unique and beautiful.

We have been here several times. My husband has Celiac and it's so wonderful to come to a restaurant that has no gluten so he doesn't have to worry about any cross-contamination. The food is spectacular and you would never know the bread is gluten free. The service is very attentive and the price is reasonable for type of food and service you receive. The restaurant is very small but you feel like if you are in a cozy dining room and in spite of the close proximity to other diners, it still feels very intimate.

The cashew chicken salad was delicious! The lavender & lemon “Refresher” mocktail was a perfect accompaniment. We arrived at 11:30 and it was nice and quiet. It became more loud and lively as the place filled up. Tip: It is one of the few local restaurants open on Monday, so a reservation is a must! Parkside remains one of my favorite lunch spots. 👍🏻
