Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. République builds on this storied past, offering a gastronomic environment imbued with history and grandeur.     This is our 5th time visiting this restaurant in the last seven weeks. We absolutely love the food, ambiance and energy. The food is absolutely amazing, did I already say that?! My favorites are the mussels and branzino. The broccolini is delicious, as well. And the staff is so attentive! Look forward to our 6th visit!

    Dined last night for our anniversary and was provided a lovely card (upon arrival) and brownie a la mode after our meal. Terry was our waiter for the evening. He was attentive, honest, and provided helpful recommendations. My partner got the 12 oz filet and I chose the branzino. Only comment is that the sauce on the fish was bland. It needed more taste.

    Our server was PHENOMENAL. I genuinely have never had a better dinning experience he was truly such an amazing server. The food was good and the ambiance was 10/10

    Always a wonderful experience. Food and services are exceptional. I travel to LA on business frequently and they make me feel welcome as a solo diner. There is always a warm welcome by the entire team and my preferences are remembered.
