Chef Gaetano Ascione brings international flair to Indiana. A native of Italy, and fluent in five languages, Chef Gaetano Ascione brings international flair to Munster, with experience, teaching, owning restaurants, consulting, and running hotels on four continents – Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. He served both Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan as Chef de Cuisine at the Georgetown Club in Washington, D.C., and served as Executive Chef for the Inaugural Banquet for President Nelson Mandela in South Africa.He is a member of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs 1248-1950, the American Culinary Federation, and the Gruppo Virtuale Cuochi Italiani. Ascione was a finalist in the “Chef of the Year” competition at the World Gourmet Summit in Singapore in 2001.

    The food was really good. We had chicken piccata, a filet and the surf and turf with a Ceasar salad. The standouts were the salad and the filet, but everything was actually very good! No complaints. The service was a little slow but the place is new and it was unbelievably busy. Our waitress was lovely.

    We went to Rosebuds to celebrate my birthday. There were four of us, my daughter, my granddaughter and my husband. The place is beautiful. The service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My husband and daughter had steak. My granddaughter had lamb chops, which were delicious (we shared). I ordered the beef ribs Bolognese, which was excellent except for one exception you could hardly find any beef ribs in it. The waitress did tell me that it would be a bowl of pasta with the beef interspersed throughout it however, there were only 2 to 3 pieces in it, that was very disappointing especially at the price point. Other than that, our experience was wonderful. The cocktail I had was good.

    Firecracker sushi always a great choice. Brussel sprouts I feel like has changed, not as seasoned/tasty anymore. Server was ok, not attentive. Over good experience.
