Scalini Fedeli was opened by chef-owner Michael Cetrulo in 1995 and very quickly became New Jersey's highest rated Italian restaurant. Rated excellent by the New York Times in 1996 and New Jersey's favorite restaurant in Zagat's Survey in 2001 and New Jersey Monthly's best Italian and top 25 overall in 2007. Highlights from the menu include soft egg yolk raviolo with black truffle butter, pignoli crusted salmon with artichoke and mint agnolotti in a light tomato and basil broth and braised short ribs of beef with a cherry pepper and port glaze. The food was terrific. I asked for no potatoes and when my plate came, the waitress noticed and brought me extra veg on the side. Great service. Beautiful atmosphere. Would happily go again

Seated on the upper level of the dining room we had a grand view of the Tiffany ceiling, and it was much less noisy than the main floor or the red dog. At the close of the meal we were serenaded by the wonderful Brynn Stanley and her pianist, and we spent a happy hour post meal listening to them perform holiday and jazz favorites. A great way to begin the last weekend before Christmas!

Fabulous service throughout the evening. The bartender was professional and engaging. Angela served cocktails that were made to perfection. Dinner was just as perfect. Roberto was the consummate professional as well. He was attentive to our needs but never on top of us. Our dinner as well as the wine was outstanding. Truly a great experience throughout the entire evening.

Ok- finally made it here for my moms 71st Birthday! We had a really enjoyable dinner! They needed a place like this in between Morristown and Hackettstown. Solid Food and the Ambience / music made the night.
