This charming Upper East Side café exudes comfort and conviviality, with parchment shades that soften light from sconces that warm the room. Eager to please, the kitchen uses high-quality ingredients for its mix-and-match philosophy. Patrons can choose their meats, their pastas (dried or, for a slight surcharge, the restaurant's own homemade), and their sauces (from a simple marinara to a more complex carbonara) as they create their own dishes.     What a special lunch! Visiting New York with my daughter and it was perfect. It looks out over the water and started snowing while we were eating. Service and food were amazing!

    This place is fantastic! Excellent Italian on the UES. From the phenomenal service to the delicious food, I can’t recommend this place enough. They always have some wonderfully inventive specials, and last night it was a flatbread with mozzarella, toasted grapes and a balsamic glaze. Delicious. I had the pappardelle bolognese, which is a staple and is outstanding. Some of the other favorites at our table included 2 other pasta dishes and the mussels. They had a s’mores semifredo as a dessert and it was exceptional. We will be back!!

    Our first time at Sistina and we will return again. The restaurant is extraordinarily beautiful and the noise levels are low. The wait staff and everyone e working ate extremely friendly and professional. The staff was patient and accommodating.The food was excellent.. Absolutely perfect and 5 Star.

    I’ve been eating at Serafina for many years and have always been happy. The meals are made with care, presented nicely and the produce is always fresh and delicious. They are also willing to make alterations for folks with dietary restrictions, like myself.
