Within a beautiful Subiaco heritage building, a new neighbourhood wine bar has entered the scene on Hay Street. In the 1920s, the building was home to a provisions merchant owned by husband and wife Emily and Charles Lums. Their shop, EA Lums & Co, was a place for locals to grab quality ingredients from a family-owned shop.     This was my second time dining with my family at Ascua, and we had a fantastic experience. We all enjoyed the Chargrilled Fremantle octopus and the Dry-aged kingfish crudo as appetizers. My son and I shared the delightful tomahawk steak. The atmosphere was classy, and we could see the chefs working in the kitchen from our booth. Our waiter was attentive and very polite. At the end of the meal, we even received complementary aromatic salt to take home. We are looking forward to our next visit to Ascua!

    Thankyou so much for our first experience with Japanese cuisine. Eric was wonderful with his suggestions and staff were fantastic. I was celebrating my birthday and enjoyed ourselves immensely . Thanks again Eric

    2nd visit this week! The food is always great! As this was a Saturday night visit it was busy and as such things will take a little longer. It can be quite noisy when busy, but it's not a deterrent to enjoying good food!

    Great authentic Italian food with wonderful share plates which make it a great social event. Service is prompt and friendly with great advice given when choosing the appropriate dishes. Highly recommend.
