Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios. For the love of her, Orion forged the island for wild game and seafood to prepare elaborate banquets in celebration of their love.     Always the best service in town. From the hostess to bartender to our server, everyone has our unique experiences in mind. In the hospitality world we talk a lot about “surprise and delight” moments for guests, of varying size depending on the group, occasion, etc, and foreign cinema always gets them JUUUST right. Not to mention the food is always superb

    Doug was so personal as well the best hostess ever. My food wasn’t that great! I’ve ordered the vegetable and shrimp salad before but this time it was too soggy. The service was the best!!!

    One of our party has numerous allergies. Our server went out of her way to help her find healthy choices for the guest, including checking with the kitchen to confirm that two pastas were suitable. A wonderful experience, delicious dishes!

    I met up with three friends who live in the neighborhood (I work there, but live elsewhere) and we truly had a wonderful experience! We had flights of wine (paired with chocolates), then ordered glasses of the ones we most enjoyed and also shared a delicious charcuterie board among us. The staff was incredibly kind, thoughtful & went above and beyond multiple times to make us feel welcome and to create a delightful experience, filling the evening with treats and the best service I've had in awhile. This is going to be a regular go-to for us! Thank you all so much for a fabulous evening!
