Please note when booking: Lunch at Lemaire ends at 2pm. From 2pm-5pm we offer a lounge menu. Full dinner starts at 5pm. New American restaurant and bar that is inspired by the agricultural and coastal traditions and bounty of Virginia. Lemaire delivers the quality and service The Jefferson Hotel is known for, but in an accessible format without the pretense, formality or expense!Complimentary self-parking is available in both the Adams Street and Main Street lots. Valet parking is $18/carFor special requests (cake, flowers, etc) guests must contact Lemaire directly. Tables are held for 15 minutes. Separate checks are not available for parties of six or more.     We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday/Christmas here. It was a first visit for us all. The food was exemplary, the ambiance was perfect, and the attention to details were superior. We had custom menus with Happy 50th Birthday Todd printed at the top, and dessert came out with Happy Birthday written beautifully in chocolate with a candle. I wish I could remember our server's name, but she was wonderful and patient with our party. My one critique is the garnishes were more for looks than eating, while the meat/main entree was great, but that could just be personal taste. Overall a wonderful experience and my husband had a perfect birthday.

    We enjoyed a great lunch to celebrate the Winter Solstice! Our server, Justin, was professional, attentive, and helpful. The environment was lovely; we were seated in the small dining room next to a lovely fire in the fireplace and with a great view of Carytown. The super-thin octopus and fried calamari appetizers were great starters. We moved on to phenomenal crab cakes (so much crab!) and fried oysters, both over a roasted corn salad. The oysters also featured a spicy aioli, and the crab cake was served over roasted sweet potatoes with a cilantro oil. We also had a Yellowtail carpaccio that was superb. Dessert was amazing: a perfectly balanced single malt butterscotch pudding with shortbread, a superb version of sticky toffee pudding, and delicious house-made donuts with lemon curd and fruits.

    The experience was wonderful. It was my first time going, celebrating my birthday, and I would definitely recommend. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic and the owner stopped by to see how the evening was going, to see what we were celebrating and wished me a happy birthday. I will be going again.
