Insalata's Restaurant is moving into it's 28th year of the community minded restaurants in San Anselmo. Insalata's receives Bib Gourmand from Michelin for it's 15th year in a row. Our goal at Insalata's has always been to bring luscious Mediterranean food, gracious service and a warm atmosphere to our diners. For over 28 years we have shared this experience of intimate dining and joyful celebrations in a variety of ways. First and foremost as a fine dining restaurant with our beautiful private Siena room in which to sit and relax and enjoy a meal. We also offer take out dining for those days when time is of the essence, or catered affairs where we bring great food and staff into your home or venue. Our guests have become family and we have grown together in the community in which we all live and work. Everyone at Insalata's is extremely proud to be a part of this extended "village" family.

Marinitas features a menu inspired by dishes found throughout Mexico and Latin America using local and seasonal products. Through the collaboration of Heidi Krahling and Frank Villa, Marinitas delivers Latin focused lusciousness that is an exciting blend of the new and the familiar.     Highly recommend Insalata's. The server was friendly, efficient and understanding of the logistics of a big table (11). We sat down to dine at 9pm because we had come from an event, and we never felt rushed, we took our time and had a great meal. Food: - The Wagyu beef was excellent, from Snake Hill Farms. As I knew where it came from I had it rare and it was just right. - The grilled chicken marinated in yoghurt was tender as always. - The pasta was great. Portions are generous.

    This is a wonderful location. I have been here before to visit the bar on adventures into the forest, but this was my first time having a complete dining experience. They're Valentine's Day service and menu was excellent. I am glad I chose to share this special day with Due West Olema.

    Lovely French restaurant that reminded us of a bistro in Paris. Excellent food! The lamb chops and scallops were perfect executed. Inside a bit tight but cozy.
