Bienvenue. Les Bubbles is a Parisian steakhouse on the corner of Wickham and Little Street in Fortitude Valley, forged in the very same building that housed the notorious illegal casino, bath-house and brothel at the centre of the Fitzgerald Inquiry. While the card decks and kerb servers are all but gone, the building’s colourful history remains pinned to every wall. Steak frites – known by many as the national dish of France – is the centrepiece of our menu. We sear the steak to your liking, before serving it with bread, salad, plenty of sauce and bottomless frites. Les Bubbles welcomes all, and as such, both vegetarian and pescatarian eaters will feel right at home. For any curious individuals, a change of scenery is available by wandering down a single flight of stairs.     Enjoyed a wonderful Christmas lunch at the newly opened Black Hide Queens Wharf. In short, the lunch we enjoyed was simply right up there as the very best. It wasn’t just the delicious food selection, and how it was cooked, or the impeccable service received, or the festive decorations, but the whole experience which truly captured the spirit of Christmas for us. From the second we entered, until the moment of leaving, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Even the Christmas carollers were wonderful touch!! Thank you very much to all the staff at Black Hide. Happy New Year, and you’ll definitely see us dining with you again.

    Took the family here for my son’s 21st birthday. Food was amazing! Oysters, sashimi and the prawns were delicious. Great ambience and service. Two piece band playing some jazzy tunes at just the right volume to allow great conversation. Highly recommend!!

    Perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. We booked for lunch and enjoyed all the beautifully presented and tasty dishes. Loved being able to watch our Chef meticulously prepare the dishes and perfectly balance the flavors on each plate. The dining area is intimate (room for 10-12 diners) with Chef's explanation of the source of each dish. Recommend you choose wine pairing to compliment the food. A very enjoyable meal when you're not in a rush and want to experience great food & wine in a lovely private setting
