How do you take a classic staple of American dining, the steakhouse, and break down the traditional thinking to create something entirely new and exciting? That was the question that acclaimed chef and restaurateur Sam Marvin (creator of the much-celebrated Los Angeles restaurant Bottega Louie) posed when he decided the time was right to reinvent what has long been the trademarks of the steakhouse genre – masculine vibe, dark rooms, fancy waiters, slabs of oversized beef and overly expensive pricing.     No one in my party had a cocktail but their cocktail menu was larger than their food menu and a few items on it looked really delicious. We started with guacamole for the chips and it was creamy and delicious. The chips came out warmed up and were nice and salty. Everything we had was really good: carne asada tacos, braised short rib enchiladas, spicy shrimp ceviche, tortilla soup (more tomato based than chicken broth based) and the grilled asparagus (HIGHLY recommend!) Overall price point is more than I think any Mexican food ever should be but for a special occasion it was worth it. Wouldn't be my every Friday night go to.

    service was excellent. Great hosts and wait staff. Food also excellent - I ordered the salad with a side of salmon - delicious. Cappucino was decent but not as strong as I like. great lunch

    I’ve eaten at North Italia a few times now. Great and popular place. The food is good. Wine list is extensive. Service is super. Very fun in the summer to eat outside and now they have the outside tented and heated so it’s still nice. It can be noisy when crowded but tonight was about half full and nice and quiet for the first date we had.

    We ate here after our wedding last year and wanted to return with our 6 year old so he could experience it. It was just as amazing as our last visit. Great food, great service and beautiful ambience.
