Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. Had an AMAZING dining experience on a Friday night. From the menu selections, to quality of the ingredients, I couldn’t have made a better choice for dinner. Fast and super friendly service, strong drinks and great portion sizing - looking forward to returning soon! Pro tip: Dine on Friday or Saturday so you can experience the sushi. SO GOOD.

As always, our experience was fabulous. We had the dip sampler a bean special appetizer, I had a lemon fish special of the day and my friend had lamb chops. We were very happy with our lunch. And we will return as soon as possible!

We had an exceptional dining experience on Christmas Eve. Our three main courses of cod in parchment paper, veal with mushrooms and lamb shank were all outstanding and perfectly prepared. In addition to a great wine selection, the cocktails hit the mark. And a very special finish with Irish Coffee created at the table with finesse and flair! We were personally greeted by the owner as family and will definitely return. Thank you so much for making this a special and festive occasion.
