Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

When I opened my doors in July of 2009, I committed to serving the freshest Italian dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients. I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Classic Italian dishes grace the menu but are personalized with my unique touch. Quality and consistency is what you will find with each dish. I would never serve anything short of that. So whether you are looking for a memorable night out or a glass of wine with friends, I am glad that you have chosen Sapore.     really great experience! Food was really good, great service from our waiter. I have celiac and needed GF, none of that was a problem and I felt well after eating here which is huge for me! Sometimes at other restaurants they will say it is GF but I will feel unwell after eating. It was also my birthday and they brought out a lovely piece of flourless chocolate cake with happy birthday written on a serving board and a candle, it was beautifully presented and very elegant. Will definitely be back!

    This is our home away from home! Always guaranteed amazing food, the loveliest of servers and support staff. Whether it’s a special occasion or as a busy mom just a night off, Napoli always comes in clutch. My kids love it just as much as my husband and I. If ever in doubt, this restaurant will never disappoint.

    Three of us went here for dinner, exquisite food 5 stars all the way down to the finest details. It was so good that we went back there for 3 nights straight!!!!! There’s nothing like this restaurant anywhere I have ever travelled, I only wish I had this establishment right by my home town… this place is a MUST DO !!
