You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. Yet another great meal at The Crown, Burchetts Green. Our first visit was Sunday lunch, and this time we opted for their monthly Thai night, where we had a set menu of 5 courses. Amazing chicken, lemongrass and chilli soup, sweetcorn fritters, tuna carpaccio (that one was v spicy) and superb pork, rice and hispi cabbage, with a coconut and kafir lime ice cream to finish. Good value for the quality - and quantity - we received. We used to live in Singapore and this menu took us right back to the authentic thai from that country and our travels. Chef Dominic Chapman is the backbone of this country pub and he deserves high praise for what he and his team produce and serve. We will be going back!

I had lunch here with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We had a delicious meal, with excellent, friendly but not intrusive service and to our surprised delight my friend was brought a delicious complimentary cake on a plate with Happy Birthday written on it . Will certainly return.

The food is really good . The restaurant was really busy so the night we were in they had run out of the fish dishes . The menu is so good that we didn't feel like we were missing out . Would definitely recommend
