It has been re-mixed and re-imagined by the people behind the multi-award winning Altrincham Market; Mackie Mayor, Manchester and Picturedrome, Macclesfield.The Nag's Head is a listed building that dates back to its origin as a Smithy in the 1740's, on the trade route connecting the ports of Liverpool and North Wales to the Potteries.At The Nag's Head sister venues we have earned a reputation for high quality food, delivered in beautiful buildings, served informally. Lunch Menu - Two Courses for £30 / Three Courses for £35We are an independent restaurant in the heart of Chester offering microseasonal dining with menus designed around what's growing on our farm in Daresbury. Menus change every four to six weeks. Happy Hour is available in our lounge from 4-6pm on Thursday-Saturday with "Two for £15" Cocktails, wine and beer specials. Please note we are currently card-only and unable to accept cash. The Ring O’ Bells is located in the heart of the picturesque Cheshire village Christleton. I recently enjoyed a delightful lunchtime meal with friends at The Nags Head, and it was an experience worth sharing. The pub exudes a warm and cosy charm, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed get-together. The menu was full of tempting options, but we opted for the rarebit and a hearty pie for our mains. Both dishes were absolutely delicious—comfort food at its finest. The Welsh rarebit was rich, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned, while the pie was a masterpiece, with a golden, flaky crust and a filling that was both flavorful and satisfying. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of this lovely pub. It’s clear that great care goes into both the food and the overall experience. If you’re looking for a cosy spot with excellent food and a great ambiance, I highly recommend The Nags Head. I’ll certainly be back!

Excellent place to visit, nice large airy rooms, food fantastic flavours and plentiful portions. The staff were always in attendance. Overall a very nice experience and we will be back for more of the same.

Another fabulous meal at the Chef's Table, the food is always spectacular and the service warm and genuinely friendly. Lobster tail to start with Venison marinated in sloe gin as a main finishing with Christmas pudding was a great way to start our Christmas. Thank you Liam and the team, you are a magician!!!
