Hook & Ladder is the unexpected steakhouse you’d never thought you’d find in the historic, original firehouse of the Washington Fire Company. This is a one-of-a-kind Skybar experience allowing guests a close view of our 149 year old firehouse, bell tower and original stained glass windows. A unique cross between a chop house and Crudo bar, Hook & Ladder features Certified A5 Japanese wagyu beef that will melt in your month. Dry aged Steak offerings including 32 days dry aged Porterhouse (28oz), 32 days aged Tomahawk Ribeye (40oz) that will taste decidedly beefy, much like a rare roast beef, while also taking on subtler hints of other delicious flavors. Crudo uses the Japanese technique of curing the fish making it more tender and flavorful. Finishing it with lime, lemon, and soy; featuring Wild King Salmon, Japanese Madai, Hamachi and more.     Had a delicious birthday dinner on a quiet Friday night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Forgot it was BYOB- so make sure to bring your own wine. Recommend for a nice meal and will plan on going again soon.

    Sunday night so not all that busy at the Jarrettown Inn. Staff was great and gave us just the right amount of attention. The daily specials were all great choices and the chosen was done to perfection. Had a great time and definitely would return Only changes I would recommend would be to the appetizers and small plate dishes that would be starters or happy hour offerings. Would love to see offerings that were more in line with comfort food leaning towards maybe an Italian twist to regular American fair. On way home from the office the Jarrettown would be a great place to have a cocktail and nosh on some not so formal offerings while chatting with friends.

    Excellent menu choices for almost everyone. Service is the best and personal. The family who run the restaurant are caring and dedicated to their patrons. Will return many times for their appetizers to their fresh desserts.
