The Sundial’s à-la-carte and seasonal menus as well as its cuisine and ambience are typically French. Our restaurant can cater for upto 150 people as a wedding venue. Our French restaurant has a Civil wedding License offering you the perfect wedding venue in East Sussex. Restaurant also has a large car park with 16 parking spaces.

We are a country Gastropub owned by farmers. Our farm supplies the beef, lamb and pork and we source other ingredients from local producers where we can. Our small seasonal menu changes regularly reflecting what is available in our area. We pride ourselves on being very much a country pub, offering freshly prepared seasonal food and a warm welcome. We also love offering locally produced drinks, such as gins, rums, ales and wines, giving you the complete taste of Sussex.

Nestled underneath a canopy of wisteria is The Kitchen, serving a seasonal menu six days a week.We are passionate about seasonal, local, delicious food and try to use local ingredients wherever possible. We source as much as we can from our kitchen garden and greenhouse and only use free range, locally sourced meat and eggs.Our menu is small, freshly prepared and uses high quality ingredients. Callenders is a modern , casual style dining bistro. From a romantic meal for two, to a celebration dinner for forty. The best of local produce cooked to order for you. The surroundings are relaxed and easy going. Large potted plants occupy the free spaces and original water-colours by local artists hang on the walls. Table tops are bare and minimalist set with condiments, cutlery and fresh cut flower stems. Old dishes make a fresh return, and modern classics like Thai-Style Chicken sit comfortably along-side Braised Beef Cheeks with roast potatoes and gravy.Steaks are good too and a full Char-grill section on the menu features locally shot Venison and a selection of beef cuts; T bone, Fillet and Sirloin. As you would expect all desserts and pastries are made in house, with a definite focus on classic British desserts, steamed Treacle Sponge, Crème Brule, Apple Tart, Queen of Puddings and a really beautiful creamed rice dessert served with a mango sorbet are often on the menu.

    Food was good quality. Bar staff helpful. One of the table staff was very efficient but the other lacked experience and got part of our order wrong, which was only partially rectified. Quite expensive overall. Menu wasn't as extensive as shown online.

    We dined on a very quiet Wednesday evening in this delightfully renovated inn. I'm sure it would be heaving during the day especially at weekends as there were lots of areas outside overlooking the views. Our server was great and we were all pleased with our food having struggled to decide which of the appetizing choices to go for. We hope to go back for a return visit soon.

    Seldom do you find such an exellent dinning experience. A great menue with a superb steak & ale homemade pie. Fresh food cooked to perfection. My other guests were delighted.

    First time we’ve visited - glad we did and glad we booked!! Food, service and ambience were all amazing. I had the marmite mushrooms on sourdough and partner had omelette - both delicious. We will be back
