Welcome to Okeya Kyujiro Our Omakase Experience is a chef’s choice menu consisting of seasonal ingredients mainly sourced from Japan. It includes approximately 25 courses with mostly sushi. IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS Please let us know before taking a reservation any allergies or food restrictions to know if we can possibly accommodate your needs. We do not accept outsiders food or alcohol in our establishment. We do not have a kid’s menu. RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY Reservation must be cancelled 48 hours in advance. Thomas Makris, from the Island of Skopelos, fell in love when he met Helen Babalos. They met at Orestes Greek restaurant in 1974, while on a Greek dancing tour of North America. Soon after their marriage, they had a vision to open a place like no other in Vancouver; a Greek restaurant where everyone is family; where everyone receives a consistent experience created by delicious homemade authentic food and impeccable service. In 1984 they opened Anatoli Souvlaki in north Vancouver. In 2011 their sons Alexi and Iani took over the restaurant and early 2015 they expanded on their parents original dream, in a new venture with their cousin Daniel Bergman, Alexi and Iani opened ‘The Greek by Anatoli’ in Yaletown. ‘The Greek by Anatoli’ focuses on small share plates or “mezze”.

    I had a great time celebrating my friends birthday on Wednesday! Our server was great and didn't sound scripted or feel like she was trying to oversell us and made sure we had the best time while giving great food recommendations. Would definitely go back :)

    We chose this restaurant for the Japanese bbq but more importantly, we wanted to see how good they were with accommodating gluten free and food allergies based on other good GF diner reviews. We had a wonderful and safe meal. Our server understood our requirements and was extremely kind, patient and careful with our order. He also double checked with the manager then let us know again which dishes were safe and which ones for the allergy guest to avoid. And when he bought the dishes, he ensured we were aware which ones were ok and which ones to avoid. I am extremely appreciative of this care and awareness. On top of this, the food was delicious, the selection incredible, and the price very reasonable. We will definitely come again and will be happy to recommend this restaurant to our GF friends and friends with food allergies. Thank you for what you do, Gyu-Kaku!
