Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff. We had a great time and it was a great night but for the food and drinks price wise it’s not Boston. The seafood could have been better. Steaks were fantastic. Highly recommend getting steak if anyone reads this. However, staff and personnel get 5 stars!! They were amazing!! Just a little pricey.

Our first time at this restaurant and the experience was amazing. The service is great and the food is great. They even gave us a nice dessert coz it’s my husband’s birthday. Thank you for the wonderful experience

We had such a nice lunch today at Legal Seafoods! We each got the special lobster roll with upgraded bowl of chowder. Yum, as good as always! We were disappointed to see that sushi has been eliminated from the menu, but totally understand. Wish we had ordered it more, b/c it was best around. Also miss the ramen noodles, which were so so good.

Em was a fabulous server. Food was delicious. Wines were good, not fantastic, but they grew on you. Fisherman’s Platter, fish and chips and lobster roll and clam strips were enjoyed by all. Overall a lovely evening.
