Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. A.O.C. is a small plates restaurant driven by seasonal ingredients, locally sourced. Our California French cuisine was developed by Chef Suzanne Goin, and also features Mediterranean influences. We have 24 wines by the glass and 150 bottles to choose from, curated by Caroline Styne, all of which are either organic, biodynamic or sustainable. Featuring a full bar with premium spirits and specialty cocktails. AOC is proud to offer both outdoor and indoor dining. Our patios feature shared heaters, however we highly recommend bringing appropriate outerwear for your comfort. Unfortunately, inclement weather may affect our ability to honor your reservation. In the event of rain, we will notify you as soon as possible to communicate any weather related cancellations and to assist you with rescheduling your reservation. Beginning November 4th, a.o.c. will require that all guests require proof of vaccination or negative results from a Covid test taken within 72 hours of entry.

The Terrace at the famous Sunset Tower Hotel debuted a new look in May of 2018, featuring a refreshed outdoor dining experience with updated furnishings and an elegant new bar. The Tower Bar Restaurant has split views of the city from either side of the lobby. It offers a swank lounge, bar and an al fresco dining experience. Custom made banquettes line the windows that showcase an unparalleled view of the Los Angeles skyline. Art deco design influences include walnut with gold inlay trim in a subtle, muted color scheme. The delectable menu features California Bistro with Italian fare. A dress code is enforced, please call for information.We are now open daily for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is offered six nights a week, Monday-Saturday. We are unable to guarantee a seating preference of indoors or outdoors. We recommend a sweater or light coat during the evenings.Shorts, baseball caps, sweats, sandals, tank tops, phone calls, computers and photos are not permitted.

    From our experience there, I have a couple of key notes - Our server Michael with the mustache was absolutely fantastic and had the table shaking with excitement every time he visited - the orecchiette tasted like the corner of an extra most bestest pizza - the gnocchi is rather bouncy and maleable - the burrata with rosemary and walnuts is not the best dish for individuals with an aversion to rosemary - the table was wobbling like the wedding song from the 2000’s - gelato tasted of creamy burnt sugar and missed out on dreams of caramel - the torta della nonna was akin to the inside of a cheese danish - our second waiter must’ve been having an identity crisis as he brought us water everytime we asked for more wine Overall pleasant experience, will be back again!

    Did the Valentine’s Day experience. Friendly staff. All courses were delicious - even the ones with Indian ingredients I don’t care for. Handwritten card welcomed me and my partner. Lovely place. 11 out of 10.

    We had the best time at ALK! We loved the food, the ambiance and of course the service. Shoutout to Patrick, our server! Not a fan of jazz music though but it was alright. Would come back again.

    From the second you walk in , you feel like you are in your family’s house. It’s warm and such a vibe. The chef is incredible and the food didn’t disappoint! The team is lovely and on it. Service was 10 out of 10. My partner and I will definitely make this a favorite and can’t wait to be back!
