At Restaurant Story the premise is simple; we seek to tell our story through the food we serve.We opened in April 2013 gaining our first Michelin star only five months after opening and in 2021 we were awarded our second Michelin star. Finally in 2023 we launched Story 3.0 hosting a 2nd floor.Inspired by chef Tom Sellers’ culinary career and the history of British food, our dishes are an edible story, each one inspired by a memory. Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. The entire experience was a dream from start to finish. The waiters were friendly and attentive, the service was so fluid. Our Sommelier was informative, knowledgeable and not pretentious so we felt comfortable asking more questions about the wine. We were given a tour of the venue so got to thank the chefs for the delicious meal - the potato custard was a particular highlight. We also got to see their new private dining space and would highly recommend it - beautiful balcony for summer cocktails with a view of the Shard and large dining space with your own kitchen!
