This long-established restaurant in Ealing is known affectionately by its customers as “Mrs Chow’s” in homage to the lady in charge of the cooking, who believes in using fresh, natural ingredients. Feeling adventurous? Swap sesame prawn toast for “shredded jellyfish with three delicacies” or “frog’s leg in black bean sauce”. If not, don’t worry – you’ll do just as well with traditional starters like satay chicken or sweet-and-sour won ton. The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. The restaurant prides itself on showcasing seasonal ingredients along with their own Deer, Jersey Cows and Iberian Pigs which are reared by Chef/Owner Brett Graham. After a 2 year hiatus, The Ledbury reopened with a new look dining room and their own in house Fungarium. The kitchen is being overseen by Head Chef Tom Spenceley and the dining room is headed up by General Manager Jack Settle.
