Welcome to your friend neighborhood bar and sandwich shop. Tucked away on Lafayette Park, just a block from the downtown and seaport neighborhoods of Salem, MA, The Babe is the perfect place to rendezvous after work for a cocktail, grab a bite with friends, or get together for a late night celebration. We take pride in our scratch kitchen with a menu inspired by Northeast sandwich culture and cuisine; touching on fan favorites from Philly to NY, and of course, Boston! Our menu includes specialties like house-ground cheese burgers, loaded Italian subs with freshly sliced salumi, crispy and cheesy mozzarella pockets, crispy wings, and more. The dining room and bar have a casual but intimate feel with high ceilings, updated vintage architectural features, and warm deco-lighting.     Went for the New Year’s Day Hip Hop DJ Brunch and it did not disappoint! Tried the housemade donuts (cranberry orange & espresso martini), and they lived up to the hype 100%! Seriously, if we weren’t so full, I would have taken a couple of the orange-cranberry ones to go! Then we had chicken & waffles and the pastrami hash. The chicken was incredibly crispy and the hash was delicious- lots of peppers & onions to complement the pastrami. Music was loud (we were right in front of the DJ) with some great selections! Service was excellent as well. We will definitely be back!

    Em was a fabulous server. Food was delicious. Wines were good, not fantastic, but they grew on you. Fisherman’s Platter, fish and chips and lobster roll and clam strips were enjoyed by all. Overall a lovely evening.

    Our Bartender was excellent! The food was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the breakfast wrap! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go back! But the star was the lemon ricotta donuts served warm with homemade jam!!!

    First time visitor. The food was delightful! Shared a buffalo cauliflower and it was amazing! The portion was good size for 2 or more. The pork belly burger was great! Had to take 1/2 home. My friend had theFerby burger and couldn't finish hers either. Will be back for sure!
