As Chef Mike DeCamp spent 10 years at the former French restaurant, this will be his homecoming and opportunity to write his own chapter for the space. P.S. Steak disrupts the perceptions of a typical steakhouse while honoring the legacy of one of the great culinary foundations in the Twin Cities. Fantastic experience overall—service, food, and setting. The Steakhouse is an experience on its own and a wonderful spot for a very nice dinner. It was easy to have a conversation and enjoy the company and food. Highly recommend the Denver Steak!

Scandinavian food may not be for everyone, but I loved our winter salad, gravlax, and potato rosti. My lamb dish was delicious with a lovely glass of pinot noir. The restaurant is roomy, but felt intimate and warm. And the acoustics are perfect - my wife and I could talk with each other without shouting. Our server, Bart, was gracious and welcoming.

Our visit to 801 Chophouse on Monday the 23rd of December was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we were greeted at the front desk to saying our goodbyes as we picked up our coats the experience was one of joy and delight. The staff was great. The quiet tone in the restaurant was inviting/comforting. The drinks hit the spot, including the Penicillin cocktail, which isn’t a “typical” beverage but was spot on. Our food was amazing and the steaks are some of the best we’ve ever had anywhere. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you to the staff of 801 – Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Most lobby restaurants are not the greatest experience. The Milwaukee, however, was a pleasant surprise. From a gracious hostess to a joyful waitress, to a very, very good meal for the four of us. The only food negative was a relatively bland dressing on the Caesar salad. T”My pappardelle was outstanding and the others felt the risotto, burger and salmon were very fine.
